Part of the fun of international travel is getting a passport stamped. Each stamp serves as a momento of the different places explored. Apart from traveling abroad, the only other adventure that involves stamps on a passport is Passport to Dry Creek Valley. Most wineries create a theme lending the spirit of international travel to the event. Visitors to Passport weekend arrive at their selected wineries and are excited to have their “passports” stamped.
This year’s 22nd Annual Passport to Dry Creek Valley on April 30, 2011 and May 1, 2011, is an adventure through the beautiful Dry Creek Valley. As guests make their way down roads lined with lush vineyards and trees, they enjoy a selection of over 45 wineries sharing their best wines, local cuisine, and live entertainment. Travelers have the opportunity to meet winemakers and vineyard owners, taste wines from the barrel, sample wine futures, and enjoy special discounts.
Wine lovers can depend on the Dry Creek Valley for sustainably farmed, and/or certified organic and biodynamic wineries to take great care in the growing of the grapes that create world-class wines. Some of the themes this year include those from the creative minds at Ferrari-Carano Vineyards & Winery, Fritz Winery, Mazzocco Winery, Mounts Family Winery, Sbragia Family Vineyards, Seghesio Family Vineyards, and more.
