Northern California Wine Country is undeniably beautiful. Whether visiting wineries closer to the Sonoma Coast, throughout Sonoma County, in Sonoma Valley, or Napa Valley, visitors can expect scenic views of vineyards throughout the seasons. If a visit to Alexander Valley located in Sonoma County has managed to escape your grasp, this month offers a special annual event spotlighting the picturesque Alexander Valley and the wineries that create stunning wines from the rich, fertile soil in this river valley.
The 17th Annual Taste Alexander Valley takes place Saturday and Sunday, May 17th and 18th. Cabernet Sauvignon reigns supreme, but other skillfully created types of wines can be found at Alexander Valley wineries including reds such as Malbec, Merlot, and Zinfandel; and whites, such as Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
Over 25 diverse wineries will participate in this year’s event. The list of participating wineries includes the familiar names of Clos Du Bois Winery, Francis Ford Coppola Winery, and Rodney Strong Vineyards. The list also consists of the names of smaller wineries including Medlock Ames, Stryker Sonoma Winery, and Hawkes Wine.
Each participating winery invites guests to taste wine, nibble on tasty bites, enjoy live entertainment, and receive special discounts on wine purchases. To view the offerings at each winery click here. Some of the tempting offerings include:
