Sugar and spice and everything nice… that’s what Noble Folk ice cream and pies are made of.
Also Japanese purple yam (ube), apricot, thyme, wild blueberry, and whatever is seasonal, delicious, and catches the taste buds of the Noble Folk Ice Cream and Pie Bar owners Ozzy Jimenez and Christian Sullberg.
Set on The Plaza in downtown Healdsburg, the newly debuted shop is not far from another favorite Jimenez and Sullberg operation – Moustache Baked Goods on Healdsburg Avenue. That’s where the two bakers rolled out their first Sonoma-centric creations a few years ago, including The Bee Keeper cupcake of Meyer lemon cake slathered in local honey and lavender frosting.

If it takes a lot of work to gather the ingredients – and it does – the reward is handcrafted ice creams in flavors like almond cardamom, blackberry rosemary, juniper honey, black sesame-coconut, San Francisco’s FourBarrel coffee ice cream, cereal maple, and English Breakfast tea.
Pie comes out of the oven in spring-summer essences like strawberry and fresh ginger; blueberry-plum-thyme and caramel apple.
And here’s an idea – pie tastes extra good a la mode, so why not top that slice with a scoop, and then maybe follow it with a Moustache cake for “dessert?”
