This year marks the 13th Annual Wine & Food Affair. This longstanding event, on November 5th and 6th, is one of the best ways to discover wines from new wineries and revisit those with the high quality and balance that Northern Sonoma County has become known for. Over 100 wineries in the Dry Creek, Russian River, and Alexander Valleys will host delicious wine and food pairings. The list of wineries includes Francis Ford Coppola Winery, Hop Kiln Winery, Kendall-Jackson Wine Center, Sbragia Family Vineyards, and Sonoma-Cutrer. View the full list of wineries by clicking here.
Pairing the perfect wine with the perfect food is easy to do after visiting the Wine & Food Affair. Great care is taken in deciding which wine to pair with each special dish. Each recipe is collected and published in the cookbook, Wine & Food Affair: Tasting Along the Wine Road, which each ticketholder receives.
The cuisine is as varied as the wines. Alexander Valley Vineyards will be preparing Sinfully Easy Lamb Kabobs. Visitors to Murphy-Goode Winery‘s tasting room will enjoy Grilled Achiote Spiced Skirt Steak Tacos. Rodney Strong Vineyards will present a Smoked Pork Tenderloin. Winemaker and owner, Frane Franicevic, will serve Frane’s Moussaka Lasagna at his Sunce Winery tasting room. Sicilian Lamb Meatballs with Vin Cotto will be the instrument of wine and food pairing magic at Twomey Cellars. There will be Grilled Duck Breast at Red Car Winery and Venison Stew with Robert Young Scion at Robert Young Estate Winery. Click here and enjoy exploring the tasty offerings at each winery.
The Wine & Food Affair is an amazing event that is so well-known that tickets will sell out and will not be available to purchase at the door.
