Twice a year, a collection of independent, artisan winemakers come together for their Eighth Street Wineries Open House. Their first of two Open Houses for 2013 will be on Saturday, February 23, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why should you go? I can think of many reasons why!

The setting is like no other. Guests are invited into the warehouse that serves as the cellar. This showcase is a celebration of boutique, hand made wines. A few of the participating wineries have tasting rooms that are open daily, the majority usually require appointments to experience their wines.
