Chalk Hill Estate Vineyards has become synonymous with exceptional, world-class wines.

Located in the Chalk Hill appellation within Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley, Chalk Hill Estate Vineyards’ award-winning wines continue to receive high acclaim from trade, press, and consumers. The beautiful estate was founded in 1972 and consists of 1,400 acres featuring 300 acres of vineyards planted to 60 small vineyard blocks. Over four decades, Chalk Hill Estate has received 125 scores of 90 or higher in Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, and Wine Enthusiast.

The unique soil, weather, and physical features of the land allows for Chalk Hill Estate to produce a wide range of varieties including Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Malbec
Viognier, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and more. The farming team, led by Mark Lingenfelder for over 30 years, has focused on sustainable viticulture. Head Winemaker Steve Nelson, completes the transition of sustainably grown grapes into impeccable Chalk Hill Estate wines.

Appointments for tastings are preferred. Choose between the Estate Tasting and the Reserve Tasting. During both tastings, guests learn about the history, and the terroir of the wines created by Chalk Hill Estate’s talented team. The Estate Tasting offers sips of Chalk Hill Estate’s New Release wines, and the Reserve Tasting offers tastes of their Limited Production wines.

For a more in depth experience, visitors can choose from one of three unique tours available by appointment only. The Estate Tour invites guests to explore the winery’s hillside vineyards, and park. Guests on the Estate Tour also learn about Chalk Hill Estate’s viticulture, winemaking, and history, while tasting current Chalk Hill Estate wines.

The Chairman’s Reserve Tasting includes a peaceful drive through the estate vineyard, a tour of the production facility, a seated tasting of a flight of Chairman’s selection reserve wines paired with artisanal cheeses, and more.

Enjoy the best of Chalk Hill Estate wine and cuisine with the Culinary Tour and Tasting. This adventure begins with an excursion through the estate vineyards and includes a stop at the estate’s Culinary Garden. Guests will end up at the Estate Culinary Event Pavilion – a glass conservatory overlooking panoramic views of Chalk Hill valley – for a seated tasting paired with small bites. Executive Chef Ryan Freebern, one of Wine Country’s elite culinary masters, uses produce from the Estate garden along with local and fresh ingredients.
