There truly is no bad time of year to visit Wine Country, but fall is one of our favorite times of year! Between the changing leaves, the beautiful weather, and the Harvest Season festivities, there is always something to enjoy! Check out a few ways we like to experience Wine Country in the fall:
Grape Stomping
Many wineries don’t start the grape stomp until late August/early September, but it is definitely an experience worth waiting for! While the technique is not used much in wine production anymore, it is a great way to honor tradition. In the Napa Valley, check out Grgich Hills and Peju to participate in a grape stomp.
Harvest Celebrations
From harvest dinners to winery parties, there are plenty of festivities to experience in Wine Country! Celebrate the new harvest at a release party, where you have the opportunity to taste the new vintage. For a more personal experience, attend a dinner, where you can enjoy everything from barbecue to a michelin star dinner, paired with wine of course!
Halloween Festivities
Halloween isn’t just for trick-or-treating in Wine Country! Kick off your Halloween weekend at the biggest and best party in the Napa Valley – Castello di Amorosa’s 10th annual Pagan Ball; a traditional Halloween costume party with lots of tricks and treats! Friday, October 26, 2018, 8:00 P.M. to 12:00 A.M. For a paranormal experience, tour some of Napa’s oldest wineries. And for family-friendly fun, check out a number of harvest carnivals, like the Harvest and Halloween carnival at Francis Ford Coppola, or bake spooky treats at the CIA at Copia!
