Visit the Napa Valley town of Yountville where you’ll find Domaine Chandon open on Easter Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Taste their sparkling and still wines. Along with your favorites, make sure to buy a bottle of sparkling Chandon Pinot Noir Rose to sip while you nibble on a pink Peep or two. Continue North through the Napa Valley into St. Helena to Freemark Abbey Winery, also open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This historic winery has many distinguished wines to taste, and with some future planning you just might be able to get your hands on an elusive bottle of their Edwelwein Late Harvest Riesling to pair with a few Cadbury Creme Eggs.
Sonoma Valley Wines to Pair with Jelly Beans & chocolate bunnies
If your travels will be taking you to the heart of Sonoma Valley, step into the tasting room at Chateau St. Jean Winery also open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Enjoy their exquisite gardens along with their award-winning wines. Don’t forget to include with your purchases, a bottle of Chateau St. Jean Riesling Alexander Valley to pair with festively colored jelly beans. Just a little over a mile South of Chateau St. Jean, awaits Deerfield Ranch Winery. Visit from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and choose one of Deerfield Ranch’s award-winning Cabernet Sauvignons for a decadent pairing with a traditional, chocolate bunny.
Sonoma County Wines to Pair with Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs & Whoppers Robin Eggs
Exploring Sonoma County’s northernmost tip? Venture onto the grounds of Francis Ford Coppola Winery from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sample the wines, peruse the movie memorabilia, and get the missing ingredient to perfectly pair with Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs – the sparkling Sophia Blanc de Blanc. Need an idea for an Easter Sunday dinner? Rustic, the restaurant at the winery, is open too. Travel South into downtown Healdsburg to visit the new Hartford Family Winery’s tasting room from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. One of Hartford Family’s specialty’s is Pinot Noir, which happens to make for a tasty pairing with Whoppers Robin Eggs.
